DAY 7

Day 7 (21 May 2010)

097

We wanted to take a picture with the owner of the hostel before we leave around 07:00! He is drinking some beverage (of course including alcohol in it) and offers us too (ohhhh! he's so kind!!!)... we don't take the offer as you guess just before we'll be on the road (but where the heck were you yesterday night man???)...

098

After we refuel, we aim to arrive at Kotor. When we reach Kotor, we think about Erol... because we liked Kotor more than Budva. We regret not to stay here but we have to move on...

099

100

We park outside the old city and get inside to discover, we aim to see the history in the city,

101

discover the city,

102

103

104

take nice pictures etc.

105

Of course these were our second aim. The first one is to find a place to eat something. Man! I'm starving... By the way, the breakfast was perfect and cheap. These countries in Balkans mostly cheap in food. And they accept Euro, they don't have national monetary unit.

106

After Kotor, we head to Dubrovnik, the most interesting place according to the fellow travelers who went there before us. The all say the most beautiful city in Europe. We move on with a big curiosity, but not enough to make us take the ferry that makes our road 50 kms shorter... So we move along the coastal road... The houses on the road are presenting themselves as a respect to the history, nice area...

107

108

109

There are two islands in the middle of the cove, and the built monastaries on them. These religious people definetly knew how to live. They always find the neat places to listen themselves with good scenery...

110

and the Montenegro border finishes suddenly...

111

112

and the Crotia border cames...

113

114

115

116

and we arrive at Dubrovnik. A group of riders welcomes us and they escort us until the city center.

We want to stay in a camping area, but again there are no rooms to stay, and we didn't bring our tent... so we find a hostel and we plan to stay 2 nights here.

117

we go to the Copacabana beach, but the weather is a little bit cold to swim. Most of the people are just lying for sun. Crotia has a monetary unit, named Kuna, so we move to the city center to find an exchange office...

118

119

They don't have exchange offices in the city center, so we handle the situation at a bank. We pay the money for hostel, and wash some of our clothes (of course the dirty ones ) and get into the "Grad Old City", meaning the historical city center.

120

121

122

123

We are not as tourists when we come to city center, we are like we know the area (thanks to tv shows!)... most of the travelers comes here... and yes this is a very neat place. We see the night scenery at first, and tomorrow we'll be back for the daytime scenery...

end of the 7th day...
