DAY 2

(16 May 2010)

004

We are ready to leave Turkey from Kapikule Border Gate early in the morning. As soon as we got our green card from Turing Company, we are on the way to Kardzhali, Bulgaria... This leg of the route is planned as a family visit as to see Emel's aunt and uncle. One of the families who was exiled to Turkey in 1989 by Bulgaria during the racial extermination was my wife's family. After they closed the border, some of her families had to stay there. As a rough prediction, the 70% of Kardzhali are Turkish people. So, if you are Turkish, you may feel yourself as in Turkey. It is not a touristic place, but this had to be one of our stops. When you are here, you know the green Balkans begins from now on...

if the you are asking a questions as "is is this much green everywhere?" then the answer will be yessss!

because this day is more like a family day, I won't tell more... actually, there is not much to talk about Kardzhali... the real adventure will begin from now on...

end of the 2nd day...
